Stunning view from the cliffs of Navarone

In  the cooler months  a short walk inland through valleys and over mountain paths and you get to see the beautiful flowers, wildlife and views which the island has to offer.  The south of the island offers wonderful opportunities for the weekend rambler and hiker.  There are many routes but they are not so well marked out on the tourist maps; better to follow the old agricultural roads and sooner or later you will get to where you were headed.  Its great fun.  Incorporate a village with a cafeneon or taverna for some light refreshment or why not pack a flask, find a rock with a view and just sit, relax and take it all in.
